Right Way Ministries InternationalAbout Mary
Mary L. Johnson-Gordon was born the second child of Idell and Howard Daniel. Her mother’s strong advocacy for higher education helped shape Mary’s lifelong commitment to learning, teaching, and community service.
She attended North Carolina College at Durham from 1955 to 1957, later transferring to the University of the District of Columbia in Washington, D.C., where she earned both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Education Supervision and Administration.
Her graduate thesis examined Reverend Jesse Jackson’s Operation PUSH for Academic Excellence and its potential use in the public schools of the District of Columbia. Mary went on to serve for many years as an honored classroom teacher before working with the District of Columbia Department of Social Services until retirement.
On July 18, 1998, she became an ordained elder of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Her ministry expanded across nations and continents, combining Christian service with compassion, advocacy, and a continuing commitment to defend the defenseless.
